Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Do you:

  • Sweat more than the average person?
  • Worry about your sweating in public?
  • Avoid wearing certain colours to mask sweat stains?

If you answered yes to any of these, you may be among the millions of people who suffer from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Hyperhidrosis, more commonly known as excessive sweating, is a condition where problematic sweating impacts a person’s overall quality of life. The injections work to block the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. With these treatments, patients experienced a significant reduction in sweating. Typically, patients require treatments every six to eight months. However, over time, patients often report being able to go longer between treatments.

Jaw Clenching (TMJ)

Many people experience an enlarged masseter muscle, jaw pain, disrupted sleep, or sensitive and damaged teeth as a result of Bruxism or jaw clenching.

In fact, many patients will unknowingly grind at night and wake up with a sore jaw muscle.

Many studies have shown that nocturnal bruxism can be improved by treatment of the masseter using neuromodulators including Botox.

BOTOX for TMJ disorder is a non-surgical outpatient procedure that is performed right here at BC Orchard Aesthetics. Our highly-trained naturopathic doctor will inject your forehead, temple, and jaw muscles to help relax the jaw and address common symptoms of TMJ disorder, such as jaw tension headaches caused by teeth grinding. Your treatment needs and the number of injections needed may vary, so it is best to speak to our doctor at BC Orchard Aesthetics about what options might be best for you.

Chronic Migraines

There is strong clinical evidence that therapeutic treatments with neuromodulators such as Botox can improve quality of life for those with distressing ailments such as Chronic Migraines.

Botox treatments for headaches involve a series of several injections of Botox around your head and neck every 12 weeks to help prevent migraine headaches or reduce the severity of your headache symptoms. Clients should see results 2 to 3 weeks after their first treatment, with many of our clients reporting a significant reduction in their number of headaches and the severity of their migraine symptoms.

If you suffer from chronic migraines or headaches, we encourage you to speak with your naturopathic doctor Dr. Khosravian at BC Orchard Aesthetics to see if Botox injections are the right treatment for your chronic condition.
